Innovation and Digitisation in Conjunction with Innovation Exchange
The Innovation Exchange and the Mill Enterprise Centre invited the M1 Drogheda Chamber Skillnet to speak at the recent event held in the Cavan Digital Hub. The event had 20 different companies in attendance and the speakers were took the audience through the various connections to government assistance. Sean McGrath from the Innovation Exchange Skillnet, explained the process of linking larger businesses to smaller more nimble start-ups to be able to deal with the ‘Challenge’ the larger business faced.
Conor Craven, from the Cavan LEO, spoke about the grants that were available for companies seeking to work through their expansion or creating new product lines. He also spoke about the grants and tax breaks available for research and development.
Joe Lynch, from M1 Drogheda Chamber Skillnet, told the meeting about the assistance the network can give ranging from networking events, like this one, to sourcing and developing a wide range of training initiatives and development courses.
John Daly from Pembroke Alliance explained how his company, mostly staffed by former start-up entrepreneurs, could assist with grant applications and steering companies through the myriad levels of government document.
Peter McGrane, from the Mill enterprise Hub, closed the meeting by telling the delegates that their were more events like this planned for Louth and Meath.
