M1 Drogheda Chamber Skillnet is open to any business in the North East region that has an interest in up-skilling their employees and benefiting from networking with other companies in the region.
Not if you attend classes as a Non-Member.
Depending on whether you are a Chamber Member or a Non Chamber Member the fees vary. M1 Drogheda Chamber Skillnet will offer Membership Rates to members of other Chambers in the North East Region. Companies are requested to fill out a training analysis once a year to assist us as a Skillnet in identifying local business training needs; this assists us in offering relevant courses. Companies can also book training on a course by course basis. You can email email@example.com to request a schedule of planned training, with relevant course fees.
Do you have to be in a certain industry sector, be Drogheda based or have a certain amount of employees or turnover of business to join?
You can be any size or sector to join our Network, we train companies from across the north east along the M1 corridor and expanding out from Fingal, Louth, Meath as far as Monaghan and Cavan.
Our network members dictate what programmes will run and it is the job of the Network Manager to source the appropriate programmes. By engaging with our network manager your company can help us to understand your companies needs and we can source trainers that will tailor specific courses around companies requirements if the “off the shelf” courses aren’t specific or relevant.
What can I do if I am looking for a specific course but it is not being offered by the M1 Drogheda Chamber Skillnet?
Just let us know what you need and we can discuss options for sourcing the required training your company needs.
For an in-company course, grant-aid is provided at approximately 10% depending on numbers and the course in question. For open courses, grant aid is provided at 20%.
The Skillnet ethos is to promote collaboration, networking and economies of scale, allowing business to connect and learn from other, companies that promote this through sharing their training receive 20% funding.
Currently our skillnet is only open to employed participants, if you are registered on the live register as a jobseeker please refer to the job-seekers section on www.skillnets.ie for more information.
