    • Programme overview

      The programme is based on proven models currently in use across all industries and sectors, recognised best-practice in the field of project management and international standards.

      Participants will develop the essential knowledge, skills and competencies required for successful project management. The programme is structured around real-world project management challenges and internationally recognised best practice. The programme also explores globally recognised methodologies and frameworks including PMBOK, PRINCE2 and Agile Project Management.

      The programme also teaches students how to utilise Project Management Information Systems in the planning, execution and monitoring and controlling of projects.

      This Level 7 Diploma in project Management programme is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union www.eufunds.ie

    • Learning outcomes

      This highly practical Diploma offers participants the opportunity to gain a project management qualification from Ireland’s first Technological University. The Diploma is aligned to internationally recognised best practices in the discipline of project, programme and portfolio management. Participants will develop the essential knowledge, skills and competencies required for successful project outcomes. The Diploma is structured around real-world project management challenges and internationally recognised best practices, including the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®), PRINCE2® and Agile Project Management.

      The skills and techniques taught on this program are relevant to all sectors of business and government including professional services, construction, engineering, technology and life sciences. Students also learn how to utilise Microsoft Planner & Project in the planning, execution and monitoring and controlling of projects.

    • Trainer Profile

      John McGrath is a coach and consult on ICT applications and project management issues. He has stood shoulder to shoulder with many of his clients for over two decades. His track record includes over 150 global companies, government agencies, state enterprises, Engineers Ireland, the United Nations, the London and Rio Paralympics and the World Bank.

      He has a particular interest in developing PPM competency within organisations and gaining true visibility of the project/program pipeline. A process that he commonly refer to as searching for a Single Version of the Truth.
