Your Host

Pharmacist and Mum-of-three Laura Dowling (a.k.a. Fabulous Pharmacist) is passionate about sharing her knowledge of all things health-related in an accessible, relatable manner via her Instagram channel. Her primary audience is females across a wide age range who tune in to hear Laura’s thoughts on medicine, illness, natural therapies, nutrition, supplements, exercise, yoga and cooking amongst other things. With a degree from Trinity and almost 20 years’ experience under her belt, Laura aims to give her followers the tools to live a balanced, healthy lifestyle without resorting to short-term crazes or fads.

Whether talking about skin concerns, constipation, female incontinence or mental health, Laura aims to educate her followers and shine a light on topics that people can often shy away from. In addition to her social media presence, Laura is a frequent contributor to Irish media and can be regularly seen on TV and in print as well as heard on radio.

Loretta Dignam Founder & CEO The Menopause Hub

Loretta Dignam is an award-winning Marketer of the Year, and a recent Entrepreneur of the Year runner up in the Image Businesswoman Awards. She opened the doors to The Menopause Hub, Ireland’s first and only dedicated menopause clinic in January 2019. Loretta is the founder and CEO.

The Menopause Hub, is a centre of excellence for menopause, with three dedicated menopause clinics, two in Dublin, one on the north side and one on the south side and one in Cork.

Loretta is an advocate for menopausal women, smashing the taboo and striving to make menopause mainstream. She has also developed a programme to support organisations with menopause in the workplace awareness and education training, and policy development and hosts the Menopause Workplace Excellence Awards in partnership with Great Place to Work.

She has had a lengthy and highly successful career working for many multinational, global businesses including; Mars Inc, Diageo plc, Kerry Group plc, Ardagh Group and Jacob Fruitfield, as a senior marketing and communications leader. She was awarded Marketer of the Year in 2011 and runner up in 2022. She is a graduate of UCD and DCU and has lectured in the UCD Smurfit Business School on their executive MBA and MSc Programmes.

Loretta was on the Board of the Abbey Theatre for 6 years. She chaired their Gender Equality Committee, driving change in gender equality policy across Irish theatre.

Sallyanne Brady Founder of The Irish Menopause

Founder of The Irish Menopause Online Community with, at present 55k members. (No medical background). “After losing years of life at the hands of menopause and lack of medical support, and knowledge in conjunction with incorrect information I have chosen to dedicate my time to supporting informing and guiding those experiencing perimenopause and menopause. My passion is women having correct information to help them navigate and make an informed decision for their menopause”.
