Programme overview

The BPS Certificate of Competence: Test User: Occupational, Personality Course (formerly known as Level B) is a blended learning course consisting of 6-9 hours of private study and a 2 day intensive face-to-face course. This course is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the European Federation of Psychological Associations (EFPA) and it qualifies participants to administer, interpret, and provide instant reports from the Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI). The HPI measures the bright side of personality – the side we are likely to manifest in everyday work and social situations – and is used worldwide as an invaluable tool in optimising selection , training, development, leadership, career coaching and self-actualisation decisions.

Learning Outcomes

Participants will acquire best practice psychometric knowledge and skill in scientifically assessing the key personality attributes of candidates, the degree and interplay of which have such a major influence on the jobs, occupations and careers – and the levels – which suit people best; the type of company culture which resonates clearly with them; the kind of people and teams to which they will relate most positively – all invaluable data for participants  to have, not only in selection contexts but equally so in their coaching, training, development and counselling work.
