Description:

Drogheda & District Chamber are delighted to announce that we are currently recruiting for the role of Operations and Marketing Assistant. M1 Drogheda Chamber Skillnet is an enterprise led training network that actively supports and works with business to address their current and future talent development needs.

The Operations and Marketing Assistant role includes the digital marketing and advertising, content creation and website updates and assisting in the networking and visibility of the Chamber Skillnet. Administrative duties include assisting in monitoring the TNP (match-funded programme), ESF+ European Stability Fund programme and all other additional employment activation and training programmes with corresponding KPI’s and targets.

The Operations and Marketing Assistant works closely with the Network Manager and the accounts co-ordinator,  member organisations and key players/stakeholders in the business community, to provide enterprise-led training solutions in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and update content for various publications, including the M1Skillnet website, social media platforms, and the monthly e-newsletter. Utilise digital marketing platforms and SEO to drive advertisements into local industry.
  • Manage network inquiries and respond to queries, providing timely follow-ups in consultation with the Network Manager.
  • Coordinate and administer events and promotional activities in line with the annual plan.
  • Prepare marketing materials adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Support the reporting requirements for the network’s steering committee and advisory groups.
  • Handle training course bookings, confirmations, and follow-up communication with trainees and providers.
  • Ensure training providers comply with reporting requirements.
  • Manage and maintain data for funding body requirements and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Produce reports for the Network Manager as required

  • Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
    • A qualification in Business, Marketing, HR, or Learning & Development, or 3+ years of relevant experience
    • Strong understanding of skills development in Ireland’s economy.
    • Experience in training or event management is ideal.
    • Previous experience in a business-to-business customer service role.
    • Experience working with data and in a target-driven environment.
    • Marketing and promotional experience, particularly in digital marketing, SEO and social media.

Key Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Canva, LinkedIn, SEO and digital marketing platforms..
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communicator via telephone, email, and social media.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative and judgment.

  • This full-time role is hybrid: 3 days on site in Drogheda town, 2 days WFH. Occasional travel and attendance at events out of regular office hours will be required.
