Cyber Awareness Workshop 2025
M1 Drogheda Chamber Skillnet is delighted to partner with the Connected Health & Wellbeing Cluster and the dConnect Hub on the Cyber Awareness training programme. We believe this is the first of a number of new training programmes related to digital health and regulations
In line with the arrival of NIS2 (https://www.ncsc.gov.ie/pdfs/NCSC_NIS2_Guide.pdf) and its imminent translation into Irish Statute, it is important to spell out its implications for organisations. The purpose of this workshop is to provide the new context in relation to Cyber Security and the arrival of NIS2 as a new reference point and framework.
This is particularly pertinent to the Health & Wellbeing sector because of the large volumes of personal data that they manage on a daily basis. The NIS2 Directive will significantly impact the healthcare sector in Ireland, requiring providers to enhance their cybersecurity measures and incident reporting capabilities. Key aspects of NIS2 include Training: All health care organisations are required to train staff on cybersecurity awareness, cybersecurity best practices and incident response procedures.
By taking these steps, healthcare organizations can strengthen their cybersecurity posture, ensuring the continuity of essential services and the protection of patient data. The workshop will include an overview of cyber awareness to help improve behaviours around attacks and threats. Attendees will be given links to the online training content. This will provide them with the knowledge and skills to recognize, report and prevent security incidents.
PLEASE NOTE: subsidy is only available to private sector employees.
